Virginia Hospital Center Foundation

A Heartfelt Gift that Keeps on Giving

Armand Poyant's legacy lives on through his support of nursing education and training

The investment of caring friends and donors is what advances Virginia Hospital Center's mission to provide state-of-the-art, comprehensive and personalized health care to the Northern Virginia and the Washington D.C. area.

Armand Poyant valued the excellent patient care offered by Virginia Hospital Center and wanted to do all he could to ensure everyone in need of help and hope received it. So in addition to supporting the Hospital annually, Mr. Poyant made a provision in his will to benefit our Friends of Nursing program.

The Friends of Nursing program promotes excellence in clinical practice by funding scholarships, continuing education and more for nurses. Mr. Poyant's bequest is the largest ever received by our nursing education program.

Although Mr. Poyant passed away last March, his compassion and generosity will live on and benefit everyone who turns to Virginia Hospital Center for medical care for years to come.

Virginia Hospital Center and the Friends of Nursing program are grateful to Mr. Poyant and his family for their generosity and longstanding partnership.
